A Special Message from the Director

Welcome to the Web presence of The Colom Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to literacy issues, community enrichment, and nurturing international relations, especially with rising nations in Africa.

Please explore our site for a more complete summary of the projects with which we are involved. We are especially proud of our partnership with the national literacy advocacy group First Book, in association with which we have provided over 300,000 books to needy youngsters across six states. Our financial education program, which we undertake with the cooperation and support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Mississippi, is also a great point of pride.
